NOW HIRING · 1515 14TH ST NW, WASHINGTON DC

Community Associate

The heart of the room, part-time.

Part-time · On-site · About 20 hours a week · $20–$30 per hour · Opening January 2027

About Arts1515

Arts1515 is a boutique workspace for DC’s creative community, opening January 2027 on the second floor of 1515 14th Street NW. Seven private offices, dedicated desks, a conference room, a bookable pod for meetings and podcasting, and a community lounge.

It isn’t a desk-rental operation. It’s a curated third place where artists, founders, and creative professionals feel like they belong. Now we’re hiring the person who runs the room.

The Role

The Community Associate is the face of Arts1515. You set the tone the moment someone walks in and keep the space feeling cultivated, warm, and cared for. You guide new members from first inquiry to first day, sell memberships through genuine hospitality rather than pressure, and help build the partnerships that make the space a hub for DC’s arts community.

This is a founding role, sized for part-time hours. You’ll help open the space and shape how it runs, working about 20 hours a week.

What You’ll Own

At launch

  • Hospitality and front of house. During your hours on-site, you’re the standard for how the space feels.

  • Member onboarding. You guide every inquiry and application from first touch to signed member.

  • Tours and membership sales. Carried by hospitality, not a hard pitch.

  • Social content. You show the life of the space and draw the right people in.

As the community grows

  • Partnerships and outreach across DC’s arts community.

  • Events and programming that give members a reason to gather.

  • Retention and the day-to-day rhythms that keep members here.

You’ll run our member software day to day. We’ll train you on it and get you set up before doors open.

Who You Are

We hire for instinct and character first, résumé second.

  • Warm and genuinely hospitable. People feel welcome around you.

  • Organized and systems-minded. You keep details from slipping, even without backup on-site.

  • Comfortable selling. The founding-member push is a sell, and you enjoy it.

  • Self-directed. You don’t wait to be told what needs doing.

  • Culturally connected in DC. You know the city’s creative community, or you’re eager to.

Hospitality experience matters more than coworking experience. A background in the arts or at a gallery is a plus, not a requirement. Comfort learning new software is a must.
